Bluetooth Security Hole Hints …
The EcoFlow company has fixed crucial security vulnerabilities in its devices. Namely, there are new firmware versions for the Delta 2, the Delta 2 Max, the PowerStream and the EcoFlow Smart Plugs. It was possible to take over EcoFlow devices if you installed the EcoFlow app with a simple smartphone, then enabled location services and Bluetooth, disabled Wi-Fi, and then did a search. And you could take over the devices even though you are not authenticated and you don’t have a login. This is of course very annoying, especially if you have a refrigerator or maybe even your server or PC connected to it (see EcoFlow as UPS. Or at a campground, when all sorts of people are using EcoFlow devices and accidentally connect to the EcoFlow device. That would be bad enough, even without criminal energy. But for that there is now the firmware update and everything else we will explain here in the manual.
