The ring installation is relatively simple.
As soon as the Ring Video Doorbell Pro is connected, you will see a slowly frequent flashing of the LEDs around the doorbell button, which signals the start of the doorbell. By the way, this takes just under 2 minutes.
First, you need a smartphone or tablet with Wi-Fi and an Internet connection, which is required at all times. There is an app available for Apple iOS and for Google Android, but not for Windows. In our example, we first use a Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 8 and S10 smartphone with Android 11 and later an Apple iPad Air 2 with iOS for testing.
The Ring Always Home app is quickly found in the Google Play Store and can now be installed with one click.
Now you start the Ring app and must first log in or register via the “Create account” button.
First, the name is requested.
Then you choose the country.
Enters its Mail address, over which one would like to be informed later also per Mail about events such as ringing or movement.
Then enters another secure ring password.
And confirm the account now with the mail that was sent. If the mail from Ring does not arrive, you should check the SPAM folder, which can be viewed online for GMX accounts, for example.
The app is now personalized for now and has the following options in the menu.
